The church is not a building, that is truth. The church is the body of Christ with Jesus as its head. Its whole purpose is to make more  disciples just like each of us who have trusted Christ to save us and be our Lord.  Having said that, Victory is at a point where all of our regular attenders, members, and visitors will not fit under one roof. In seminary one of the common pitfalls of attracting new people is the limited space as well as an atmosphere that is a hindrance to visitors or church seekers who do not understand Christianity. Statues, stain glass, hard pews, and limited space causes young families to reconsider attending. The term "stain glass barriers" is what old churches struggle with in regards to attracting younger generations.

Another hindrance is the lack of space for kids in a basement with limited room as well. As we seek to provide a space to help train up new disciples, room to host weddings and funerals--we want a facility to better meet needs and grow the church. The only individual who does not want the local church to grow is Satan. If a church does not grow and attract younger generations it will die off over time. The Gospel is the power of God to change hearts and lives so there should be no reason for the church to die unless we fail to do what God commands us to do.

We look forward to having a children's wing for kids to learn, grow, and play and parents know they are safe and in good hands.  By the way one of our kid's classrooms will have an atmosphere where children with special needs can learn and grow safely. Did you know one in five families have a special needs child that keeps them considering going to a local church? We want to meet their needs and see Christ empower those families.

The building will have a shower and bathroom for missionaries or a place to go for someone loosing a home to disaster. It will provide space for community groups to meet and we can serve them as well showing the love of God.

The church is its people, but the building is a great asset to grow the church and serve the community. It is a place of training, serving, and loving others who would not attend in the building we have now with its limits. Finally, it will be our own where we will not have to book events, hope it is available and can be a place to pray, learn, and fellowship as our faith family continues to grow. The future of Victory is here!
