Why do I need to be Saved?
Salvation means being saved from a separation from God. Without salvation we will experience an eternal separation from God for eternity after we die. According to the Bible, all mankind (men and women) inherited this separation when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden. This caused spiritual death to come on all humankind. Sin caused us to be separated from God. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” God, being a loving and merciful God, wanted us to spend eternity in heaven with Him. He loved us so much that He sent His only son Jesus Christ to this earth. Jesus died on a cross to pay our debt and clean us from all sins that would separate us from God. This was God’s plan to end that eternal separation between man and God. It would legally restore our relationship with Him if we choose to freely receive this plan that He provided. This would restore a relationship between us and God which was like the one before Adam sinned. This restored relationship with God is a free gift. It is available to you right now! If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and accept God’s only path to salvation and eternal life,
please pray the following prayer:
Dear Father,
I come to you in the name of your son Jesus. I ask you to forgive me of my sin. You said that the wages of sin is death, eternal death and separation from you, but that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. You said that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and if I acknowledge that he died to restore my relationship with You –while believing with my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead, -- I will be saved. (Rom. 10:9)
Right now, I confess out loud, that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead for me. Thank you for saving me! I believe these things are true and that you hear my prayer.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
Amen.
